The more jazzy 'Last of the Singing Cowboys' was the single from the album, reaching #42 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It is their first album recorded for Warner Bros. after the collapse of Capricorn Records. In a slight contrast to the band's earlier albums, a Pop-rock feel is introduced in 'Running Like the Wind', but their Jazz- fusion signature style is still prevalent in the album's sound.
