This vintage hardcover book, THE BOOK OF SONGBIRDS, was written by Leon A. Hausman, illustrated by Ned Smith, and published in 1956 by Grosset & Dunlap as part of the “Big Treasure Books.” BONUS! It comes with an “unbreakable” 78 r.p.m. vinyl record that captures the songs of well-known songbirds in their natural habitats. The record appears to be in very good condition, but is untested by me. Illustrations are both in color and black & white. Endpapers display various bird nests. Overall, the book is in good vintage condition—no rips or stains on the pages—but there is some yellowing at the edge of pages and the cover is pulling away from the spine.
Approx. number of pages: 40 (pages are unnumbered)
Dimensions: 9.25” W x 12” H
