thedealmama ... I made 2 photos because this feature is in rollout. The second photo should be reasonably sufficient for a long time and the first has more details about the current story limitations. I left the tags for pm_editor on there because that account has constantly had a story making tutorial in it’s story.

I think I need to make the how to for stories also showcase the buttons better as there are three options for a couple features within the tool (ie you can use a picture on file or take anew picture or add video, and you can brand tag as well as people and items, it might be useful to note the buttons for this, or maybe it would be confusing. Tagging @janhankel to see if this is clear as is or needs some more work.

thedealmama @yentanista I have noticed a significant new lag in loading videos to stories. I can load pictures but video is taking four or more tries, my latest video would not load at all. It might just be the increased volume from the wave of new US users, and not just you 😘

I don’t have time to share my closet as much as I would like, so I really appreciate it when people share my items. I do tend to pick items from share groups more often. The way that stories work, your most recent shares are the easiest items to feature, so share group peeps get pulled into this experiment more often than not. 🤑😘😎

thedealmama (If it helps @pmeditor @poshfixings, I think this problem started when they changed stories to be an unlimited number. But being unable to see or share my closet is a freaking terrible side effect! Y’all are lucky this is my hobby not my job. If this was my livelihood I would be driving down to posh HQ to scream at you. I cannot see my own closet ! That’s stupid).

thedealmama If you are having this problem, there are a couple work arounds. I have searched for my items and shared them that way. Or I have done share for share 100 and shared from their feed after they share my items (the same way share group hosts can check your shares). Or have joined a billion share groups and use that. It mega sucks.

thedealmama @laigymnast1234 IT IS SO ANNOYING. Solidarity. I have no words for how frustrating this has been to deal with. I didn’t connect it to stories until last night (I tried the usual uninstall reinstall delete app new device etc etc). I feel you. So much. If I could call them I bet it’s a simple fix on the technical end. Because someone just has to delete that constantly reloading story. But no phone number and I don’t twitter.

Even when I share sometimes the share doesn’t go through before it refreshes and then the share doesn’t even work and I am at a share every thirty seconds.

thedealmama @distressedbeaut my how to make a story listing! If you go to @pm_editor their story is an animated version. :) you can also just share other people’s stories, anything you do to get your story ring to light up is good for your closet in the algorithm, as far as I can tell.

Scroll to the stories line in the feed and there is teeny tiny text “create a story “ in burgundy. Click it. Not sure why they made it HTF but.. now you know!

thedealmama @vampiekitty my goal is to always have at least one story in my story ring. Because this helps with your google result placement. I was never really big on share groups or follow games, but stories, I can do stories all day. Plenty of PFFs don’t dig making stories themselves but like the selling perks of being featured, so, I go down my list and make a series every two days. Sharing the posh love in my own style. 💖

thedealmama @vampiekitty you can YouTube it but basically, when google looks for search results it highlights things attached to stories right now. Because video is trending. It makes your items appear higher on the results of the for sale /product search tab. People who use that to shop will be more likely to see relevant results from your closet if you consistently have a lit story ring. If I don’t have time to create one I share one, just to keep my ring lit and google friendly.

thedealmama @vampiekitty you can’t track views but you can track likes and shares in the stories tab of your app. Views and likes are fantastic. But mainly I use it to keep myself and my PFFs as google relevant as possible with at least one story in the ring. All the tools on poshmark are currently free. This one connects you to potentially unlimited buyers out there!

It’s my thing now but I only got into it because I was afraid of falling behind! It’s not necessary at all to make sales. I just didn’t want to be out of the loop. Now I love it, go figure.

thedealmama @vampiekitty thank you but FYI the way stories work has changed quite a bit just over the weekend. Stories are currently NOT showing in anyone’s ring except yours. Tagging featuring etc sends them a notification but that’s it. You have to actually do something if you want your story ring lit now, create or share. Hopefully I will update again this week.

thedealmama @abigdealhere it is only available on the app. But you should be able to see them and share them from any device, at least a couple of my regular story features are for people who don’t have the app but want to keep thier rings lit. The easiest way to do that is to share stories made by other people.

thedealmama @rs6868 summer slump has happened every year in the 16 years I have been selling online, except for two years; the year it was trending to have water baby carriers and the year we are not naming. Unless you have the hot trendy summer related things, your sales will probably be slower until the second pay period of august. barbieliever Thanks for showing how to make a story. I’m shocked that it’s alive for only 48 hrs. Seems like a lot of work to have it disappear that soon. And only 13 seconds long. I need to demo how to measure shoulder seams and other curved distances. But it takes more than 15 secs. I’d have to break down into sequential steps. But I’d want it permanently in my closet or About Me. Any advice
