Sybil Connolly designed coat for Jack Clarke for I Magnin

This is a jacket from the Irish design house Jack Clarke for whom Sybil Connolly designed circa 1953-1957. This is a phenomenal piece of fashion history! Do your research on this one. In typical Sybil Connolly fashion this is a timeless piece. Made of Sybil's breakthrough twist on tweed. This coat is in near perfect condition. It is missing a belt that went went with it, it has a tear in the lining at the armipt in one of the sleeves, and after careful examination there are only 3 pulls that need to be corrected. Pieces like these are getting harder and harder to find. I would keep it but I have put on weight and it no longer fits me. I feel like it is just going to waste sitting in my closet....
