Sweet Mid Century Cloche Style Straw Hat with Pink Rose

Sweet vintage, mid-century, straw hat--cloche style decorated with large pink rose. It was sold by Owen's Department Store in Rockford Illinois. The front shades of pink flower is held in place by its stem and leaf with a 5" long hot pink gros-grain ribbon and bow. The same ribbon at 3/8" wide circles the base of the crown. In cloche style, the front brim at 1" is downturned, at the back it fades to 1/4". The crown is high and rounded. The under-brim is in white colored straw. Owen's in Rockford was a premier department store in that area. Cannot find when it closed exactly, but references are made to its closing in the late '60's.
