jan537 pit to pit measurement is 25" but can be stretched to 27 1/2". There is no washing and care tag. I guess I may have removed it but don't remember. I used to wash it in cold water inside out but I placed it inside a pillow case on a gentle cycle. ? why a pillow case? my mom always did that so I do it. Lay flat to dry.
