There is no sign of wear and it has the jewelry tray still in place. Most I have seen do not have the velvet lined tray in place. This is a gorgeous piece. It measures closed 6.5 inches wide and 5 inches down. The velvet inset is 6.0 inches wide and 4 3/4 inches down. It is 1/2 inches deep without the tray. The tray is divided into different sign sections. The biggest section is 3 inches across and 4 3/4 down. The last picture shows you the tray and the sections.
