Stunning Vintage Japanese Gold Gilded Hand Painted Satsuma Moriage Tea & Sugar set This is a lovely Vintage Japanese Gold Gilded Hand Painted Satsuma Moriage Tea & Sugar set. They are all hand painted in the Moriage style of layered and raised paints and glazes to produce a surface texture. The hand painting on these particular pieces is very meticulously and intricately done with minute details and delicate gold gilded accents throughout. The sugar bowl comes with a matching lid with a gold gilded know finial and the creamer comes with a matching saucer. The pieces feature traditional Japanese figures in ornate patterns surrounding a lovely lady most likely a Geisha. The sugar bowl measures approximately 6" wide by 4" high and the creamer measures approximately 4.5" wide by 3.5" high' Both pieces are in great vintage condition with no visible anomalies and have the makers marks on their undersides. These two porcelain pieces would add such an exotic accent to any bohemian or eclectic environment.
