Stunning Persian, metal, repousse plate with images of ancient Persia.

This item has been very hard to research. No similar pieces have been found. The hook on the back makes me think it is mid 1970s give or take 15 years, though I could be mistaken. There are some light surface scratches as shown in the pictures. The small vignettes represent several aspects of Persian culture. The palm tree, what appears to be a lion standing over a man, a lamassu, Darius handing a scroll to a servant, the tower of Babble, and what appears to be the Ishtar gate. At the center are possibly the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. There are some possible Zoroastrian elements here but nothing firm in that regard. Always happy to answer questions. Cheers!
