This piece is multi layered with an iridescent ribbon where red and orange glass threads were applied during the hot moment in the furnace to produce the ribbon/ iridescent effect. This style of glass blowing originated in Bohemia (Austria/Czech), dates back to the 1930's and is most attributed to the Kralik or Loetz glass foundries. This vase has a smooth pontil base and measures approximately 9" tall by 5" wide and is in great vintage condition with no visible anomalies.
