Stuart Weitzman Patent Leather Open Toe Shoes Size 8 1/2

Great shoe in black patent leather with an approximate 3” heel. The history of Stuart Weitzman, the shoe company founded by American designer Stuart Weitzman, began in 1950 when his father, Seymour Weitzman, opened a shoe factory in Haverhill, Massachusetts. At age 12, Stuart created his first pair of shoes, which became the best-selling model in 1954. After graduating from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1963, Stuart joined the family business, and in 1965, he and his brother Warren took over after their father's death. In 1971, they sold the business to a Spanish company, but Stuart continued to design shoes for them. In 1994, he bought back the business and launched his own brand in 1986 which was Stuart Weitzman.
