Strider were a great example of this ascendance, and crafted tough hip thrusting riffs and chest beating hooks in a style that was rapidly becoming the calling card of the era. Bands such as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Free were dominating the charts but others including Strider weren't very far behind. It was a golden era for rock, and everything was to play for.
