Dimensions: approximately 3.75" tall x 4.5" wide This pretty jar features the word "Hope" above an embossed handpainted scene of a red, white and blue building sporting the American flag. It's set against a background of the sky, flying birds, trees, hills and grass with the word "Hope" above. Pale yellow embossed stars encircle the rim. A removable cork lid sits on top. It's perfect for anyone with high hopes for our current political climate. This stoneware jar would make a lovely gratitude jar, where visiting friends and family can drop notes of appreciation inside. Open the jar and read their words of gratitude whenever you need a pick-me-up. It would also be a lovely way to store your spare change and dollar bills, which I believe was its original intended purpose. This may be a vintage Russ Berrie jar but I don't know for sure. Condition: excellent pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. Crosslisted.
