There is no tag for fabric content. The fabric is slightly sheer and reminds me of chiffon. It is well made. The lightweight fabric drapes at all the right spots. Great for summer business casual or as an outer layer to cover up from the sun. This is a super great shirt but I have nowhere to wear it! My workplace is alternative / super casual, and I don't really wear button ups on my off days.
