@poppitrell in my opinion, NOT AT ALL! I’ve worn it a few more times (I can send updated photos, still in great condition) tied both front and back. It hasn’t untied on me. It’s similar to many shoes with strings. I actually like these better due to the lace material unlike a patent leather which is more silky forcing me to do a double knot
