Steve Madden Brown Leather Boots in size 8M. Brown leather uppers with adjustable brass buckle at top and ankle of boots. These boots are pull on, no zippers. Rounded toe, heel measures 1". From top to bottom measures 12". Calf circumference is approx 15.5". These boots are in good used condition w some scuffing at toes & some general wear in leather around whole boot. No outer rips/tears/holes. Mild wear of inside shaft from normal use. Bottom soles are in good preused condition.

kelly_chenoweth I want to purchase these boots but don’t know if I need a size 8 or 8.5. I have a pair that are worn out. The soles are cracking and the inside lining is completely gone, and no lining means no size. I ordered an 8 in black which will hopefully arrive on Thursday. I’m not asking you to hold just letting you know I hope to purchase.

ensemble_pivot @kelly_chenoweth Hi, I decided for now not to sell these as I am starting to wearing them again this winter. Also the inner lining of my pair is starting to rip quite a bit as well. I think that is the nature of this brand boots.

kelly_chenoweth @ensemble_pivot Got it. Just got the boots in black and the 8 fits. Since you’re no longer selling I have a question. The sole doesn’t have the double oval circle with Steve Madden in the middle or the peace sign, heart and the third symbol, whatever that is. There’s nothing there. Think they’re fake? Everything else appears identical. The “leather” doesn’t look or feel like leather. Ahhhh I don’t know what to do. I absolutely love Poshmark but unfortunately I’ve had issues. Advice?

ensemble_pivot @kelly_chenoweth Hi I think you are right and the boots are not real. On the page where you accept payment, there a prompt that says something like problems/order inquiry select that and then order not as described. I would explain issue and then maybe take pic. Poshmark usually sides with buyer. I hope this helps. Good luck!

kelly_chenoweth I will ... and unfortunately have. If you’re within the 3 day window and make a strong case they usually have no choice but to side with the buyer. FYI in my “real vs fake” research I found another Steve Madden knockoff. This one has the logo on the outsole but the symbols are glued on. The glued on heart is a dead giveaway. Even though the seller might have thought the boots were real I’m gonna file an inquiry. Thanks for your feedback very helpful.

kelly_chenoweth I filed a report. I didn’t want to but ..... she might have been unaware that she sold me a knockoff. Anyway I offered to send the boots back and I’m hopeful Poshmark will agree to that. At least she’ll get her boots back. Thanks again for your counsel. You’ll be happy you kept the boots. I’ve had mine for YEARS. They’re comfy and always in style.

kelly_chenoweth @ensemble_pivot FYI I filed a report with several pics to support my case and they agreed to grant a refund. This must have happened for a reason because I now know that all boots have the brand logo on the outsole/bottom. Best of luck with your closet and thanks for allowing me to vent throughout this process!
