I do not believe the hat band is original to this hat because it didn't quite fit. I added an extra leather piece to reinforce the back of the hat band, gave the felt a brushing, and cleaned up the leather sweat band with some Jason Markk's cleaner. There's one place inside where the leather sweat band seems to want to bend but it does not bother the head when you wear the hat. There is a little scuffing on the satin of the lining and the hat may have been treated with some kind of waterproofing because there is a little irregularity in color. Please see pictures.
