derniercri_fem @beverlywalton01 hello. Im pretty certain as my mother loved her garnets. Im going to look at it with my loop right now to see if I can see any imperfections. It didn’t register with my diamond tester as most garnets don’t, but I’m trying to see how else i can determine. Its def has more of the reddish brown when held up to the light.

derniercri_fem @beverlywalton01 I’ve added some photos of what it looks like under my microscope and up close, so I’m pretty sure it’s a real stone and not glass. Hope this helps. 🙂
