THIIIIIIS! I wish I could share this all day long. This dress is magnificent.
Hey, it *probably* won't fit me, but if you have access to the chest measurement, I would like to know it. Normally a size 12 is too big for me, but Stella runs small and maybe maybe this would fit... ?

@materialspirit hey!! The chest measurement is 16.5” laying flat!

@hartsandhangers 😂 That’s so funny. It’s supposed to be comparable to a US size 12? That Stella, tsk tsk. I love her design, but her sizing is insane.
A real 12 would be huge on me. I know her clothes run small so I thought maybe it’d work. But OMG. 16.5” chest?! That’s itty bitty! That’s almost doll-sized. Well, at least I don’t have to torture myself over the price, which I really can’t afford.

@materialspirit LOL a 16.5” is actually a 33”! That was flat laid. :) Still small on my opinion!

But thanks for checking for me. That really is a magnificent dress. I hope someone buys it.

@hartsandhangers Oh yes, I know that’s laid flat and you double it to get the true size. Maybe my perspective is off, but I need about a 20 laid flat. And I’m wearing size 8. These days sizes have become almost meaningless, because every brand sizes entirely differently, and often even different items within a brand are sized differently.

@hartsandhangers FYI I just noticed that one of my listings for a high-end designer dress has a chest measurement of 16.5” flat and it’s a size 4. Just sayin’. 🤷♀️ FTR I also tend to think I’m bigger than I actually am. I don’t think I really need 40”. I think I could get away with 38”, maybe even 36” but no way 16.5” That was a lifetime ago. 🥹

Yes I know—16.5 is really 33”. But 3 inches is a long distance especially when you’re talking about fabric with no stretch.🫤
