hi. 40R is usually 34 pants. I'm sadly up to 36 now. you have a guess on the pants waist and could you edit listing to add a pic of how much extra fabric there is for the tailor to expand the waist at center.

@hagalili Hello! I totally get you. The waist of a pair of trousers can be let in or taken out 2-3". Look inside the seat for extra fabric at the waistband – this, minus half an inch or so, is as far as you can take the pants out.
