Antique Spode Copelands Cobalt Blue & Raised Gold accented rim ,10.5", genuine Spode bone china plate, MINT condition. The white plate is Spode's Famous Bone China made in England. The RR4466 pattern with Cobalt Blue & Raised Gold beaded swag design around the edge of the bone china plate measuring was produced in the early 1900s with an Art Nouveau flare of raised gold swags lining the plate. The plate is solid white bone china and along the rim of the plate is a deep cobalt band with a ritzy raised gold beading fancy design with gold floral swags lining the inside the cobalt blue band and facing the white center. A thin band of solid gold is all along the very outer edge of the plate rim. Warning: The cobalt Blue is amazing! In some light it is a vibrant almost Royal Blue and in others it is the deep dark near black- blue! Taking photos of the rim and seeing this change in how the blue absorbs and reflects light as I moved the plate saw the royal blue strike out, it was shocking! The stamp on back dates the plate to the early 1900s and the Spode's pattern #R4466 is hand written.
