Spanish Damascene Teardrop Earrings with Birds and Vines -- Vintage & Pierced

Birds and vines stylize this pair of earrings from Toledo Spain also Damasquino, These earrings were given to me in the 1970s so I'm not sure how old they are. This artform adds a dimension to the earrings as you can feel the engraving. Damascening is the art of inlaying metals into one another—typically, gold or silver into a darkly oxidized steel background like enamel. They are not stamped so am unsure if these are gold or not but I believe all of this brand is gold plated at a minimujm. These hang about 2 inches in total.
