Soviet Russia Vintage Brooch Pin Lacquered Hand Painted Folk Art

Originally purchased new in Moscow around 1980. At that time, Russia was the Soviet Union. Pictures a male and female couple in traditional Russian attire hand painted and lacquered. The pin back is gold tone metal with a C clasp. It is my understanding that the brooch material is paper mache but I don't know for sure. It is not wood or metal. It is quite hard. This piece comes in the original box (see images for translation of writing on the box) and has never been worn. Excellent vintage condition!
