designingdeb @schoey1030 well you have EXCELLENT TASTE!! I guess I’ll have to start putting the up again! They just cost a bit more but you’ll never have to ask if it’s ‘real’ or if it will ‘turn your finger green’!! I thought if folks saw the ‘source’ they’d know I have a passion for making people things. And no I haven’t lost my mind when I say ‘every piece speaks to me’, tells a story, opens a heart. I just listen and we work together to make magic happen!

designingdeb @schoey1030 I made that coffee table for an old friend that was dying in less than a month. We kept adding to it for 2.5 years..the doctors just didn’t know how to explain it. We still had more mischief to do! Make a dock for the boat and plastic soldier...all treasures and shells he’d found only daily beach walks. A track for the kids race car. Another adventure to plan and live for. You don’t know what you can do until you try.

designingdeb @schoey1030 we’d look at his scrapbooks of his life. 4 kids and none of them care. At the end my mother was alone in CA dying and he was asking for me..not his wife or kids..but I had to go to be with my mother. But we had a fun time during our good run. We’d just make plans for my next visit to see them in FL.

schoey1030 @designingdeb And sorry 😞 about your Mom🙏

designingdeb @schoey1030 well it’s okay. Jim lived much longer than a month and had some fun. We baffled family and doctors!! I’d been told my mom had 9 months but due to some stuff she got another 9 years and was happy! You just do your best and go with flow of circumstances. But in the end laughter and love are the best medicine. And you just give it all to God because he’s really in charge. My job is just to listen. Just like listening when I make jewelry!!

issabeaujewelry I adore the ring in pics 4 & 5!! 😍 so stunning ❤❤❤ Did you make the necklace in the 1st pic?! I design & make handcrafted jewelry as well ❤ I feel blessed to run into your truly unique closet this morning ❤🌿🌈 have a wonderful day!

designingdeb @issabeaujewelry oh I love to talk to people like you! It gives us both energy! Funny on the rings..twin big stones. She’s a friend but loves bling. I love stones and I felt that one should ‘speak’ for itself. You must agree! She loved what I designed for hers. It’s nice and runs east to west but I adore mine. And yes that’s my pendent in #1. Stones speak to me and I kept waiting to ‘get it’ with that one. Then it came to me to dig into my ...

designingdeb @issabeaujewelry ...silver from the Karen Hill People of Thailand! No other accent stones just that gorgeous silver! How does your inspiration come to you? For so long I tried to force it. Then copy designs. But it wasn’t fun or really good. Now something may be a jumping off point and it looks nothing like the idea! Thank you! I’m excited to see your closet! I love talking about making jewelry and hearing your process!

designingdeb @issabeaujewelry I forgot the count but think it’s under the ruby bracelet is the necklace and earring set from grandmother. Couldn’t believe I had some of those beads in my stash!

designingdeb @mixedbrew in this group you’ll see how I converted a pair of my grandmother’s earrings into a necklace and pierced earrings. Then the 3 children’s dead pawn rings and o made a leather necklace with silver pieces and put on silver ‘lanyard’ gizmo. Leather and silver bracelet with big toggle? I stink at taking off jewelry. Wore that while snow blowing. Fell into snowblower! They are silver horseshoes that hook together! Found almost all when snow melted! Stories to add!

mixedbrew @designingdeb amazing creativity and talent!

designingdeb
designingdeb @mixedbrew I look that first pendant. It such a contemporary cut. I put it with Karen Hill Tribe silver that 99% silver..tiny pieces. Now going through toggles to see if there’s a cool one or it I’ll do that on the bracelet. Sometimes you just have to sit with it until the perfect one shows up. I leaning toward letting the stone and silver do the talking like I did with the morganite. I had twins. One was for a client and this simple one is mine. Stones are perfect!

designingdeb @mixedbrew the ruby bracelet I set in silver! 2 8 x 10 twins and everyone think it’s white gold. The blue I just braided. Love the true watermelon tourmaline with tiny rubies. It’s small but great! Then handmade beads with wrapped silver bracelet. ‘These are a few of my favorite things...’

designingdeb @mrssmith I think 8 & 9 are two 16 ct morganite rings I designed using twin stones. So one is sitting east-west and blinged out and the other is a simple setting to really see the beauty of the stone.

designingdeb @missstephlee the Ruby bracelet at the top is make of Sterling and 8 x 10 rubies. The silver is hollow. I’m not a bench jeweler so I need someone to create the idea. Not sure if it’s something you’d be interested in doing. I think it could make a stunning bracelet in Moissanite too. But I have other stones as well. Created stones will probably hurt the value in the long run but I made friends with the owner of Thailand stone cutting business so have great stones.

designingdeb @missstephlee there are 2 16ct morganite rings I designed. I wanted the simple setting to show off the stone.

missstephlee @designingdeb Those are nice. I can definitely make any idea. I love the open ended look of the bracelet. I’ve been doing a few rings that are open ended lately too.

designingdeb @missstephlee as I read more about your work in various comments I realize you are working with higher end rings etc. However, I have ideas for variations, researched for a patent but as probably already occurred to to you, if you have a patent, it’s the defense of the patent that can prove expensive. The gentleman In Thailand was quite taken with the concept. However, like David Yurman bracelets, is it best to sell zillions of various styles or do an adaptation.

missstephlee @designingdeb I’m married to a business lawyer (who 10 years ago went back to school to study Micro Biology to learn about how our bodies work at the molecular/cellular level & is now finishing his top Chemistry classes) so legal is easier for me. He also helped me do my “recipe” to grow my Moissanite & do my trademark. I’m quite lucky in that area.

missstephlee
missstephlee @designingdeb jewelry design patents are harder to do unless it’s truly something new or a distinct design gets associated with a brand specifically so I haven’t gone down that road. I would love to get that big someday though🤞😄

designingdeb @missashleyhayes Hello! I see you liked this listing for the Ruby and watermelon tourmaline bracelet. It was made originally to be a necklace with a gold filled chain. However the clasp needs to be changed. If you would prefer a bracelet I’d just want to make it to the length you wear for bracelets. The rubies are tiny faceted stones-3mm. The tourmaline is 9x9mm. So it’s a delicate piece! Does this impact your interest?
