Solid Wood-carved African Statue - Musicians

You’ve discovered a unique wood-carved African Sculpture signed “Mabote” on the bottom. While the signature suggests that this artwork could be part of the “Ezequiel Mabote” collection, it has not been confirmed. This vintage, woodblock creation has unique details. It is weighty, tribal, & it depicts a man sitting on the shoulders of another man. One is playing the drums while the other is playing the Balafon (xylophone). The depiction of musicians holding each other up symbolizes the support given to one another. This estate find is preowned in good vintage condition with a small crack on the base & a chipped pinky, but they are surprisingly inconspicuous.
