queen0posh @julie456 . The medium is approximately 17" flat or 34" around & the large is 18.5" flat or 37". I'm on the petite side and wear sizes 4 & 6, depending on item. I would wear the medium for the straight look with leggings or jeans. I don't have a size small, just medium and large, but I'm pretty sure I'd purchase the medium, given the choice. Hope that helps.
