@ams212527 hi , the chain is stainless steel that doesnt change color or even need polishing . Bale / clasp and skull are silver plated and turnish resistant / hard to cha ge color , but they will eventually get dirty . However you can clean them with regular silver cloth to restore shine . To make last longuer dont shower with it . It wont turn green or rust though
