Wood carved & in amazing condition! Rarely seen & wonderfully unique, sitting Dala horse in traditional red. There is a brand tag, but I could not find it in the given list. I have separated out her blue & red sitting Dala horses in case you do not want both, but they are different sizes & looked adorable together. A Dalecarlian horse or Dala horse is a traditional carved, painted wooden statue of a horse in various sizes & bright colors originating in the Swedish province of Dalarna. In the old days, the Dalecarlian horse was mostly used as a toy for children; in modern times, it's become a symbol of Sweden in general & a Swedish item for good luck. Never used as it sat on my Mormor's shelf & was never played with.
