Only used a couple times, couldn't get the hang of it. I believe you can make different styles of curls, from beachy to tighter spirals. This does have a little pinch holder to help grasp the hair. Also has a stand for resting on the counter. I'm not sure of the material, maybe ceramic, maybe tourmaline. Only one heat setting.
