Silver and Garnet Ring "Damaged", Vintage

This tiny size 5 ring is over 49 years old. The setting is damaged but I believe it's silver, although I have not been able to find any hallmarks. There is also a small garnet stone set in the ring. It looks in tact. Perhaps the piece can be used for "parts".:). Please see photos.
