closet2nv Silver lame cord is a synthetic textile not chain. It is not labeled but usually made from a blend of metallic and synthetic fibers, most commonly a mix of metallic fibers created by laminating aluminum between layers of polyester or acetate film and then cutting the strips into fine yarns. It is quite strong but will not restrain a Great Dane.
