Silver Earrings stamped 525 Rhodium? Mystery

Silver and crystal earrings. Worn twice but stored carefully. I got these at a special showing of jewelry at Ultra Diamonds. They were supposed to be white gold with rhodium plate. But I see through what magnifying lens I have it that they are stamped 525. I tested this with 10k gold acid and found the test inconclusive. I’m not sure what metal these are but the coating is excellent, held up for all these years. One crystal has a crack in it, not obvious, see the pic.
