Silver Colored Coaster Set of Six, 4.5" x 4.5", Small Plates

This is a set of six possibly coasters? I'm not sure if that is there intended use. I got them in an estate sale lot but can't seem to find what they really are. They are on the heavier side. I'm not sure if they are real silver though, but they are kind of heavy.
