From Metropolitan Museum Of Art in NYC, Qing Tree Scarf, part of met collection of 18th century porcelain monteith, a bowl with a notched rim from which glasses maybe suspended and cooled, that exemplifies hybrid design typical of Chinese export ware. The claw-and-ball feet are European in origin, while the motifs of a sprawling tree, blossoming flowers, and fish are purely Chinese in concept and execution.
