Signed Oil Painting Vintage Original Artwork Pino Latronico Italian Avant Garde

This is an original painting (oil on wood board) - an early work by the Italian artist, Pino Latronico. Dated 1979. Reasonable offers always considered! Amazing texture and color. I love the way the gold gleams in the light! I can’t speak for the artist, but my impression is that this work is a provocative take on religious icons (the gilt paint, shrouded head). SIZE: Measures 15.75” W by 12” H (1/2” thick). As written about a more recent exhibition in Italy, The Dialectic of Opposites: “With his lucid realism, the artist takes us into atmospheres of wonder and fantasy, made all the more effective the greater the insistence of the exchange between reality and unreality.
