L. Toya Jemez N. M. Native American Pottery Vase
Size: 6 5/8" High
Condition: This vase is in good condition with a chip on the side edge, see last picture. There are some marks throughout the vase. We did not want to clean it because we do not want to damage it.
The following information was shared by a very kind person: "The tribal affiliation for this pottery is Jemez. Jemez Pueblo is an independent, sovereign Indian nation/tribe/pueblo, located north of Albuquerque. The potter has followed a common way of signing at Jemez, with their Initials or initial and last name, followed by their tribal affiliation. An "L. Toya" is listed in Gregory Schaaf's "Southern Pueblo Pottery, 2000 Artist Biographies" but no complete first name is given."
We try our best to describe the items accurately, so you know what you are considering buying. If you need more information or would like other pictures, please send us a message. We will be happy to help you.
