I stared at this artwork for a time and realized it is both ultra-chic and ultra-feminine. A true fusion of styles to include, art nouveau, Victorian, and Minimalism. The 1970s Victorian-influenced fashion reflected a nostalgic yearning for the romantic and detailed styles of the past while adapting them to the contemporary aesthetic of the disco era. The result was a fusion of vintage charm with the bold and expressive spirit of the 1970s fashion landscape.
He was born on July 4, 1916, and died in 1973 in the VA Hospital, in Los Angeles, California. Bill created many lithography masters for commercial retail sales while employed by various firms as a movie director, animator, and graphic artist. Some of his best works were his line drawings (lithos) and on his early lithos, Bill would hand watercolor them and sign them in pencil.
William Tara was educated In California Public Schools. He attended Los Angeles City College. In 1942, Bill became a freelance illustrator and designer. He was the Art Director at CBS Radio in Hollywood and illustrated for Walt Disney.
