Sid Dickens Memory Block S-207 "STAR OF ZANZIBAR" Rare & Retired. Excellent condition. Silver, rustic and chrome-like finish. Memory Blocks can easily be hung on a wall but they also work great placed on a little art stand so you can put them on a bookshelf or counter area. Released: 2008 - Retired: 2010. Silver finishes go through a natural process of oxidation and over time may develop a more tarnished or warmer looking coloration, depending on environmental exposure. I have 100's more Sid Dickens & similar items to be listed from my personal collection. I sadly must part with them, so keep an eye out. Sid Dickens Memory Block tiles are designed by Dickens and produced by a group of artists in Vancouver, Canada. Each Memory Block is hand poured plaster, hand painted and hand stained. They are finished to a porcelain-like quality and cracked to create a weathered centuries old appearance. These distresses are intentional by the artist and not flaws. Each piece of art measures approximately 6 in x 8 in x 1-1/2 in. Every Memory Block is a one-of-a-kind artwork, carefully finished by hand, a visible fragment of history.
