Update: Shipping delays due to the storm and areas around me were severely impacted by heavy flooding, including post office… roads closed and major detours. please bear with me. TYSM 🫶🏻 Hey Guys! mommicakes @southpawsfinds Oh yikes. My brother lives in Tallahassee and his son, my nephew lives in Jacksonville. Last storm our roof sprung a leak and we had terrible flooding. And lost power for almost 72 hours. We just got our generator fixed, so ready for that. Just got back from Publix and alot of the aisles were bare- no bread at all in the bread aisle, no water, chips and snacks aisle bare. I’ve lived here 52 years so I’ve been through a few lol. southpawsfinds @mommicakes yes, native here too...I remember Kate well...and many others. Stores are getting bare here too...many began preparations yesterday early. Just north of your brother...🙏 ing for grace 👍. I'm worried about wind damage and tornadoes with this one. 😥

southpawsfinds @mommicakes well, they are smarter than stores here...many haven't alerted staff yet re status. If you think of it, and get a more pinned down TIME of landfall tomorrow, will you comment here & let me know? it's gaining size, and will begin the wobble...it's already not doing some things they thought...didn't move for about 6 hours last night / early morning.

mommicakes @southpawsfinds It just started to rain here. Funny, I was thinking about you too- ... No winds yet... It's suplosed to be worse around midnight. but this storm is moving fast... I'm charging everything I have right now. I have these really cool ceiling “lights” that are motion detected and use batteries. Got them in Walmart. Put them up just for times like this. They light up the house enough if / when we lose power.

mommicakes @southpawsfinds They did order mandatory evac for zone A and mobile homes. I'm in a zone B. The street next to me is zone A! So, our roads and yards get flooded. One time the water came in under our back door into the dining room! We have sandbags now

Lol last storm I forgot and I was literally sitting in my car in the driveway charging it lol. Can't ever be disconnected from Posh 😅 We should start feeling it more as the day progresses. holley33884 @mommicakes our sons are in Tampa so a little concerned but they are in one of the last evacuation areas. We too live in a historic district with the large old trees and the power is not under ground. That’s is my concern here I like my AC! Generator only runs a few things! House is Cat5 friendly, but we are on a canal and I’m worried about the storm surge. Lot of wind and rain early this morning. Kind of in a lull right now. Hope everyone and their families stay safe wherever you/they are. It will be the “not knowing” when the power and cell towers go down that will drive me crazy.

curlyhead_0477 @auntgeorge50 we are praying and watching as it passes you. Looks like the eye is gone past you. So much rain here! Just got tornado watch issued for the night. Making sure we are prepared. I think landfall at night is worse than during the day! Our little ones had a good old mud exploration and on the swings - got to get all that energy out!

The rain and wind woke me up at 3am… A ton of flooding- none in my house Thank God🙏🏻 Haven’t seen the yard yet. We have power now too. My brother in Tallahassee is ok too. Sure his yard is a mess; he has big tall trees all around it. I’ll be talking to him soon. Tired.

mommicakes @auntgeorge50 Some flooding on the street next to us, they are zone A, I'm B (literally a street over). None in my house this time... Alot of yard debris. My daughters greenhouses are down. She put the actual plants and orchids in the garage before the storm. TI got hit pretty bad. Frenchs is 1/2 underwater. I have friends that have business, houses, etc that are a total loss

mommicakes @littleredpanda no, I'm in seminole. my friends own Frenchy’s. And PJ’s. and the Frog Pond . All wiped out. I grew up in Clearwater. I come up near you to shop at the docks and eat frequently. I went to school with the Pappas’ . Alot of my friends from Clearwater High School are greek and we used to hang out at the Sponge Docks. Great times

mommicakes @littleredpanda Hubby and I went down near the beaches ( roads closed and traffic lights out) and you could not get near Gulf Blvd. Alot of people homeless and carless. Some are living in their cars (if they didn't get flooded). And now there's 2 more storms heading this way. Ugh

It is the worst I’ve seen living here 50 years… just clearing the debris is going to take alot of manpower and time. And the people, no where to live 😓 Ty for thinking of us..🫶🏻
