@marble327 yes there are breast pads built in. The dress material is high quality and pretty thick. We did have the dress let out in the hips just a little. My seamstress at Tide charged $20 for the work. It was very easy to have alterations done and can very easily be taken back in. The dress truly is stunning and my daughter had compliments all night wearing it.
