The Shelly Dress is another one of the most stunning and original 40s dresses we have ever re-created. We painstakingly copied the original sample in our archive, and the result is simply fabulous. Available in our very own authentic and natural 40s Rayon Crepe De Chine fabric. This style is so flattering; it drapes and ties to the front left side, a detail so popular with many of the original 1940s designers. It has a beautiful sweetheart neckline and tiny shoulder pads, we simply love this dress. The Seamstress of Bloomsbury garments are made from the finest quality fabrics, featuring intricate and authentic designs straight from our vintage archive. Our collection is inspired by the work of our dear friend and original 'Seamstress of Bloomsbury', Lilian Wells, who made the most exquisite garments for aristocrats and royalty from around the world in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s.
