Sheer split-back cape duster /kimono / cardigan / top

This piece is amazing - it's true vintage...likely from the late 70's. In mint condition. It was originally wardrobe for a tv series, but never used. Kept in pristine shape at a costume house before it made its way to me. I simply have too many clothes and have never worn this gorgeous piece (though it was also created in black, and I wear that item a lot, always receiving complements.) It feels like beachwear but also feels sophisticated and like what a fairy would wear or something a rock star could work on stage...how can this one item do it all?
