Share Rowe Pottery Works Salt Glazed Plant Pot & Saucer

This is an attractive Rowe Pottery salt glazed plant or flower pot with saucer. The cobalt blue design is called "Garland Ring", and there is an embossed rope design below the rim. I have been unable to find another example online of Rowe plant pots with saucers. The plant pot has a hole in the bottom for drainage, and the saucer catches excess water from the flowerpot. It's rustic and durable, yet a very pleasing piece of pottery with the graceful decoration. It's a hand crafted from clay, and that is apparent from the only non-glazed surface which is the underside of the saucer. The fired yet unglazed clay shows different red and brown colors, possibly from varying temperatures during the firing process. This is not a defect but highlights the hand crafted nature of the piece. No defects noted - there are no chips, cracks, hairline fractures, fleabites, crazing, or other problems with this plant pot and saucer. The salt glaze is very glossy and shiny. Approximate measurements: 5.75" tall with saucer, 7.25" diameter at top of flowerpot, 4.5" diameter at bottom of flowerpot, 7.25" saucer diameter. It weighs a substantial 3.6 lbs.
