Set of two paper mache Clowns, colorful and unique Mexican Folk Art

These Circus Clowns are from my “clown-collecting” Mother-in-law’s special shelf. They are two vintage paper mache clowns in colorful costumes. Mexican Folk Art. Handmade. One is 4.25 inches tall and he holds an orange umbrella. His other hand is very tiny, but it’s always been that way since I have known her (since 1983) so I’m not sure if it ever held anything. He has on the original LL Cool J baggy hips pants and is wearing a little blue hat. The other Clown is 3.5 inches tall (with his percussion instrument) and is holding a guiro in one hand and the mallet for playing it in the other. He has blue “Bozo” style hair and the same style large collared outfit in yellow. Perfect gifts for a clown collector or for yourself. Both are from the 1970s.
