Set of 4 Vintage MIKASA Fashion Plate MOZAMBIQUE Pattern Tribal Art Ceramic Mugs 1995 Set of 4 vintage MIKASA Fashion Plate ceramic mugs in the Mozambique pattern features an African tribal art inspired geometric design in cream, black, and brown with a cream interior. The chic, cream colored, elongated handle has a flat thumb rest and is adorned with a black abstract design. The colors and design on this vintage mug evoke West African mudcloth, a textile with a design painted with fermented mud. This stylish Mozambique pattern has design elements that are traditional, yet at the same time modern, unexpected, and avant-garde. Mikasa only produced the Mozambique pattern from 1995 -1996. Crafted in East Malaysia (Borneo). There are some black speckles on the interior that were part of the original manufacturing process. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
