This set of two vintage hand-carved wooden bowls is made from lightweight Polynesian monkey pod wood, a material widely used in mid-century Hawaiian decorative arts. Both bowls are inscribed as originating in Hawaii and dated August 7, 1963, adding clear provenance and collectible appeal. The hand-carved construction gives each bowl subtle variation while maintaining a cohesive, matching look as a set. The bowl is approximately 6" round and the pineapple is 7.25" tall and 3" wide.
Both pieces are in excellent vintage condition with no noted distress, cracks, or repairs. The wood retains a warm, natural tone and smooth finish, making the bowls easy to incorporate into both decorative and functional spaces. Often used as decorative accent bowls, they also work well as catchall trays for keys or mail, or as part of a Hawaiian or tiki-inspired display.
Well suited for mid-century island decor, luau-themed styling, or collectors of vintage Hawaiian souvenirs, this matching set offers both visual interest and authentic period charm.
