Set 4 Antique English Transferware Gondola Boat Brown White Scallop Plates 1830s Antique English Brown Transferware Plate “ Gondola” Pattern Early 19th C A *Rare* SET OF 4 antique English scalloped edge brown and white transfer / transferware porcelain plates in the Gondola pattern. Beautiful, detailed boating, water & city scene with ornate floral and landmark cartouche border. Likely to be Staffordshire from my research, although only pattern name of 'Gondola' is marked along with star back stamp. Plates are in good antique condition. With only one small crack on one plate (only visible on back side, crack does not show through on front of plate). See photos for details. Nice shiny surface. Date circa 1830, or early 19th century. A stunning set. Have not come across a full set of this pattern for sale online.
