Senna is an approved remedy for constipation. It is a stimulate laxative which activates contractions to produce bowel movements. The anti inflammatory properties in senna help relieve the cramping you sometimes get with constipation. It is also proven to help with IBS. Applying topically senna has healing properties including fighting acne, clearing skin infections and eczema. Senna shouldn't be used long term if usin for constipation. The antibacterial and antifungal properties in the leaves are proven to treat ringworm, acne. Intestinal worms, insect bites, bad breath, and kill bacteria in open wounds and burns. Please read online the many properties of senna also it can be used on your hair. Grind the leaves and make a paste with warm water. Apply to skin and leave on no longer than 20 minutes. For tea Steep 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of leavbyes in 1 cup boiling water for 5 to 7 minutes. Strain the leaves and drink it warm. Can add honey or other sweetner or lemon. It has a bitter taste. This herb has been approved by FDA. I also have the senna powder in another listing if interested.
