Secret of NIMH “Needle Hand” Color Model cel and Mark Up

No dickering on the price! The three images that appear yellowed. They were remastered for image contrast and clarity. 1982 Secret of NIMH “Needle Hand” Color Model cel and Mark Up page. Part of the animation pipeline includes a stop into the Color Model department. They choose paint colors for props (inanimate objects), characters and certain special effects such as smoke, mud, liquid and rocks. Color Model works with the Director and Art Director and present the models to them. They either approve or want changes made. This Color Model cel has hand holding hypodermic needle (thumb on plunger is off screen). In this scene, a scientist is going to plunge serum into a lab rat. The Mark Up page shows the cel painter what color to paint where. Everything was done by hand back in the day. The cel and paper are standard 12Field- 12.5” x 10.5”. There you have it!
