This is a fantastic, pierced roll or bread basket in what we believe is the Dresden Wreath pattern. It is a substantial piece. Measures approx 12.25" long and 8.4" wide. The pattern is defined by multicolored floral wreathes suspend from gold laurel leaf swags with filigree and dot spacers between each wreath. Marked "Schumann Bavaria Germany US Zone" on the back. Made by Carl Schumann in the 1940s-50s. This piece is in excellent condition with slight signs of wear from age, no cracks, chips, or crazing.
